I hesitated and you stopped

I took your hand
You pushed away

You screamed with joy
I cried in grief

I saw our future
You regretted our past

You opened your eyes, and took in life
I found a corner and shut it out

But all the way, back then and now
You are me, and I am you
We'll fight it all together.
